Our Magnificent Show
Thank you to old and new friends who stopped by my booth at Sculpture in the Park 2013 in August to see my new stone sculpture and visit! It seems like a long time ago—so much has happened here since then.
Our Devastating Rain
Loveland was flooded as a result of nearly a week of rain, 17 inches fell in 2 days! Much of Colorado’s front range was devastated by overflowing rivers and creeks. So much tragedy for so many people!
I posted two web addresses where people can donate time and resources to help rebuild. One is the Red Cross, and the other is an organization to help artists to rebuild after the flood.
White Lightning in Parker
In other news, “White Lightning,” my marble ermine, will be in The Wildlife Experience in Art at the Wildlife Experience in Parker, CO.
The Opening is September 28 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and features artwork by the Rocky Mountain Animal Artists. There will be artist demonstrations and a wine tasting along with gorgeous artwork.
I will be presenting a show-and-tell on how I made the ermine. It will include a paper model of a block of marble to illustrate my approach to stone sculpture, along with tools, drawings, and other models. The show runs from September 28 through January 5.

The water shrew won’t be home for a while . . . please stop in to see him if he comes to your locale.
Life Goes On
I am working on a few new sculptures right now. One, a private commission, is a very elaborate combination of stones illustrating a fanciful history of flight. Another is quite different in another way. I hope to share that one with you soon.
Stay safe and dry.
