Artists For Conservation is the premier arts organization supporting the environment–animals, people, and their habitats.  I am proud to be a member of this international organization of like-minded artists.  Together we can make a positive impact to save, promote, and cherish our natural world.

I will post a link to the online show when it is available.

Featured Sculpture:
"Arctic Wind (Arctic Fox)"

I am delighted to have my stone sculpture, “Arctic Wind”, juried into this amazing show of artwork by creative women from all over the US.  The goal of American Women Artists is to present 25 museum shows in 25 years.  Expanding Horizons is the AWA’s 8th museum show since 2017.  We are achieving our goal and bringing stellar art to prestigious venues for everyone to enjoy.

Sculpture in the Park Show and Sale celebrates its 40th Anniversary this August.  Wow!  The Patron Party is held from 3 to 8 pm on August 9, cost is $75 per person (or by invitation), and is the best party in Loveland.  The show opens to the public on August 10.  This show has grown to be the best and largest outdoor juried sculpture show in the US.  It is an amazing event, so much fun, and the highlight of my creative year.  A show not to be missed!

I believe I will be in Tent C this year, and will have at least 9 new and recent one-of-a-kind sculptures available for acquisition.  Please stop by my booth to say ‘hello’ and see my new work.

Featured Sculpture:
"Quiet"

I am pleased and proud to have my stone sculpture, “Quiet”, juried into this gorgeous and highly competitive show.  155 artworks were selected from 1,250 entries from professional women artists nationwide.

This piece is a tribute to finding the quiet place within yourself to relax and refresh.  It is ironic that stone sculpting with power tools is the quintessential noisy creative process.

Here is the link to my blog post for Quiet.  Thanks for looking, and thanks for reading.

Featured Sculpture:
"Hero Rat"

Artists For Conservation 2023 International Exhibition of Nature in Art will post their online juried show in September 2023.   I am proud to be a member AFC promoting stewardship of our planet through my stone sculpture.

“Hero Rat” is homage to Magawa, the land mine-sniffing rat who was awarded a gold medal for clearing 55 acres of land in Cambodia.  He retired with this honor and passed away in 2021of old age.  The HeroRat program is part of a Belgian non-profit called APOPO.  It is a terrific example of humans and animals working together to make the world a better place for everybody.

I am honored to again be included in The Governor’s Art Show, a statewide juried exhibition of sculpture and painting held every year at the beautiful and amazing Loveland Museum.  The Gala Opening is May 10, from 5 pm to 8 pm.  This is a terrific catered party and all the participating artists are in attendance.  The show opens to the public on Saturday, May 11.  This show and sale benefits homeless school children in Thompson School District, and provides crucial aid in helping young people graduate from high school.  The show also funds art scholarships for talented young artists in Thompson School District.

This is still early days for the Governor’s Art Show, and I will provide more information in the coming months.

You have the option to vote for your favorite sculpture as part of this show.  The sculpture winning this People’s Choice Award is purchased by the city and permanently installed in Northglenn.  The ballot is located on the Art on Parade website listed above.

All of the sculptures in the 2023-2024 show are imaginative and fun.  Top Cat is in good company for her first adventure in public art.  Thank you for visiting, and thank you for voting!
