I was on the “animation SWAT team” at the end of animation on “Tarzan“, and worked on miscellaneous gorillas.

Stone Sculpture

Deep Canvas was a new 3-D technology used on “Tarzan”.  It is amazing!  I know I was inspired to work in more dimensions by the scenes of Tarzan surfing down the tree trunks.  So much fun!  

However, I was not conscious of any desire to create stone sculpture at the time.  Or, even to change my artistic medium, for that matter.  I think creative energy builds up and finds a way to expression in every artist at the right time.

I moved to Loveland, CO, in 2005 expecting to be a bronze sculptor.  A couple of months after living there, I took a class in stone sculpture. “Frankie and Mancho” was my humble beginning.  Life just got better and better from there.
